A fantastic musical based on the Gospel according to Saint Matthew, blending the story of the parables and teachings of Christ with the musical sounds of the ‘60s and ‘70s. The musical also evokes “the poignancy of Jesus’ sacrifice” (Time Magazine, May 24, 1971). Written by John-Michael Tebelak, music by Stephen Schwartz. Cedar Street Theatre concludes its 30th anniversary celebration with this lavish musical.
