Jim Messina, a respected producer and former member of the acclaimed groups Poco and Buffalo Springfield, met Kenny Loggins in November 1970, an unknown who had just gotten signed on the strength of an array of impressive songs. Their brief, yet red-hot collaborative years produced hits including "Danny's Song," "House at Pooh Corner" and "Your Mama Don't Dance."
