The history of The Temptations is the history of contemporary American music. An essential component of the original Motown machine, the smooth-stepping group produced hit after hit—creating the legendary music of Motown's golden era such as "My Girl," "(Ain't) Too Proud to Beg" and "Just My Imagination." The Temptations today are Otis Williams (original member), Terry Weeks, Roy Tyson, Joe Herndon and Bruce Williamson.
