Quartetto
Gelato
Sunday,
January 27, 2008 | 7 PM
Classical
in intent, eclectic by design, Quartetto Gelato not only thrills
audiences with their exotic blend of musical virtuosity and
artistic passion, but offers the wonderfully unexpected bonus
of a brilliant operatic tenor. The group’s repertoire
travels imaginatively between classical masterworks, operatic
arias and the sizzling energy of tango, gypsy and folk songs,
while their relaxed stage presence and delightful humor establishes
an immediate rapport with traditional and non-traditional classical
audiences alike. www.quartettogelato.ca

Jacalyn
Kane Productions Presents
The Legendary Leon Russell
in Concert
Thursday,
January 31, 2008 | 8:00 PM
Leon Russell's
long and storied career includes collaborations with a virtual
who's who of music icons spanning from Jerry Lee Lewis to Willie
Nelson to Joe Cocker and the Rolling Stones. But it was his
touching lyrics and charmingly gravelly voice with its rustic
yet rich swamp pop fusion of country, blues and gospel that
made him a 60’s & 70’s Rock icon in his own
right. Join us for an unforgettable evening with an extraordinary
artist.
