
The Lancaster Performing Arts Center’s Arts for Youth program offers unique performance and workshop opportunities for educators to integrate the arts into their curriculum and lesson plans. All Arts for Youth performances align with Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and provide an enjoyable, high quality, curriculum-based learning experience for students of all ages.

General Information
RESERVATION POLICY
- Arts for Youth performances are specifically designed for educators interested in integrating the arts and lesson plans with Common Core State Standards. (Arts for Youth performances are not open to the public.)
- Every person entering for a performance must purchase a seat.
- Please read and adhere to the Theatre Etiquette Policy and Code of Conduct.
- All reservations must be submitted online. Printed copies or photos of reservations will not be accepted.
- Reservations are not complete until the applicant has received an email confirmation and invoice for payment.
- Accuracy regarding the number of seats reserved is imperative. While we understand that absences happen, please reserve only the number of seats you can fill; every seat left empty is an opportunity taken away from another student.

TITLE 1
- Ticket Scholarship and Transportation Grants are available to Title 1 schools serving economically disadvantaged and at-risk students.
TRANSPORTATION GRANT & TICKET SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
- Transportation Grants or Ticket Scholarships are available; however, you may only apply for one or the other, not both.
- All Transportation Grants or Ticket Scholarships must be submitted together with the reservation.
TRANSPORTATION GRANT GUIDELINES
- Submission of a transportation grant application does not guarantee funding.
- The request must include a minimum of 70 seats and a maximum of 78 per bus.

- Invoices for transportation must be submitted to the LPACF within 2 weeks following the performance date.
- When estimating your transportation hours, anticipate 90 minutes at LPAC, plus round-trip transportation time.
STUDENT TICKET SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
- Submission of a student ticket scholarship application does not guarantee funding.
- The reservation balance is due upon receipt of the scholarship award letter. Payment not received by the deadline will jeopardize the reservation and may result in cancellation without a refund.
- Student ticket scholarships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Student ticket scholarships may be subsidized up to $3 per ticket. A full student ticket scholarship will not be awarded.
- Chaperones do not qualify for the ticket scholarship.
- Completion of Statement of Need.
SCHOOL INFORMATION
- Designate a teacher and a payment contact for each reservation. If the teacher will not handle payment, designate a separate payment contact.
- Home Schools must provide documentation verifying educational status, such as a state or district homeschool registration letter, or an umbrella/ISP enrollment confirmation with the associated ID number.
SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS
- Requests for accessible or special seating and assistive listening devices must be selected. Please give a brief explanation of the accommodation needed.
RESERVATION
- Student seats are $5 each. Additional chaperones are $5 (must be approved).
- Submit the number for Students, Chaperones and the total number of seats.
- For every ten (10) student admissions, one (1) chaperone admission will be issued. Additional chaperone tickets will be considered on a case-by-case basis for special circumstances.
- Every person, regardless of age, must be included in the reservation.
CHAPERONE POLICY
- One (1) chaperone must be in attendance for every ten (10) students – no more, no less.
- Additional chaperones will be considered on a case-by-case basis for special circumstances.
- One chaperone per homeschool family.
- A chaperone’s duties are to supervise and instruct students to comply with Theatre Etiquette and must always remain with students to ensure safety.
- Chaperones may not bring additional family. This is to ensure they are focused on the group responsibilities.
PAYMENT

- Cash, credit cards, checks, and purchase orders are accepted.
- Credit card payments are accepted with a valid ID. (ID must match the credit card).
- Payment is due on receipt of invoice confirmation. P.O. payment is due 30 days from the date the reservation is processed.
- Orders $200 and under are to be paid in full.
- Orders over $200 require a 10% non-refundable deposit at submission of the reservation. All remaining balances must be paid by the invoice due date.
- Payments not received by the deadline will cause the reservation to be jeopardized and may result in a cancellation, with no refund of the deposit.
- P.O. payments do not require a deposit.
- P.O. orders – must submit a copy of the P.O. within 14 days of confirmation to secure the reservation.
- Checks should be made payable to the City of Lancaster. Checks will be accepted no later than 14 days before a performance.
- Please call the box office during regular business hours to make a payment.
- All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges unless a performance is canceled.
- Only the designated point of contact listed on the reservation may request additional seats on existing orders, subject to availability.
TRIP PREPARATION
- Arrival Guide, Check-In Form, Theatre Etiquette, and Study Guide will be sent to the designated contact before the performance date. Please share the material with the admin, teachers, chaperones, and students before attending.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
- Backpacks, large bags, lunch bags, ice chests, cameras, AirPods, headphones, small toys, reusable beverage containers, food, drinks, candy or gum.
- Car seats and strollers.
- Cell phones and electronic devices must be silenced and put away so as not to disrupt the performance.
PERFORMANCE DAY
Bus Parking
- Bus parking is available in the non-residential areas on Milling Street or Fern Avenue.
- Bus loading and unloading are not permitted on Lancaster Blvd.
- Arrive 45 minutes before show time to allow for timely seating. Performances are approximately 60 minutes and begin promptly.

- To expedite the check-in process, please bring your paid confirmation invoice receipt and the completed Performance Check-in Form.
- On arrival, administrators/teachers will check in with the House Manager. Students are to be placed in a single-file line with one chaperone between every 10 students before entry. Chaperones are to remain in their position for the entire performance.
- The entire school group must be present to enter the venue and be seated.
- Seating placement is not guaranteed in the orchestra or the balcony. Schools or individual classes may be split up between the different sections of the theater to maximize seating. It is important to place one chaperone between every 10 students.
- When entering the theatre for seating, refrain from using the restrooms until after the group has been seated.
- Seating will be guided by an LPAC usher or staff. You may not save seats for late arrivals.
- On completion of the performance, the ushers will instruct each aisle one at a time to exit house right to the lobby. Continue to lead your group to the front doors, without stopping, and exit the building.
