What are the box office hours?

The box office is open Tuesday – Friday, 1PM – 5PM.

Approximately 60 minutes in duration.

School site administrators, teachers and home school educators. AFY performances are not available to the public.

The program is geared for children of school age. We do not recommend that children under the age of four who cannot sit unassisted attend performances. Children who are unable to sit quietly through a performance must remain outside the theatre, so they do not disrupt the performance.

Quickly, performances sell out fast. Reservations are not confirmed until you have received an emailed confirmation invoice.

One chaperone per ten students is required per school group and one chaperone per homeschool family – no more, no less.

Yes, patrons in wheelchairs may remain in their mobility devices or transfer to seats. Teachers must request accessible seating on the reservation. Companion seats are available upon request. (Due to oversized groups, seating may not be available in the direct area surrounding the handicap seating, and groups may be separated.)

Tickets are sold based on availability. If seats are available, it may be possible to add more, however many of our shows do sell out rather quickly.

No, there are no exchanges or refunds on reservations unless a performance is canceled. All purchases are final.

Balance of $200 or less are to be paid in full. Balance over $200 requires a 10% non-refundable deposit at submission of reservation. All remaining balances must be paid by invoice due date.

No. You can apply for either ticket scholarships or transportation. Funds are distributed to assist as many students as possible with the opportunity to attend.

The Lancaster Performing Arts Center will attempt to collect the balance due by calling the point of contact on application or via email. However, if communication or updates are not provided and payment is not resolved in a timely manner, your reservation may be cancelled.

No. Food, drinks, backpacks, large bags, car seats, and strollers, will not be permitted inside the theatre.

No, electronic devices must be silenced and put away to not disrupt the performance.

The designated bus unloading and loading is on Fern Avenue. Parking for bus transportation is in between Fig and Gadsden on Milling Street.

Please arrive 45 minutes early to allow for check in and to be escorted to your seats.

No, tickets are not printed for Arts for Youth Shows. Your reservation form has a count of how many tickets are purchased and it is verified on the day of the performance when you check in.

Seating is assigned by staff and volunteers and is usually on a first-come first-serve basis unless there are accommodation requirements. 

Items found after a performance are kept for 30 days in the lost and found before they are disposed. If you want to inquire about a lost item please contact the box office.
